How did I get (back) on the Path of Knowledge
My journey to finding the Toltec teachings, or the Path of Knowledge, began about twenty years ago with a profound crisis. All areas of my life seemed to start falling apart at the same time — my marriage was in crisis, I had recently ended a successful career, and all of my personal businesses were operating at a loss. Everything suddenly became very complicated, which led me to search for an answer to the question of why I am here and what my purpose in this life might be. A few years later, I discovered the Path of Knowledge, and it felt very familiar to me, as if I had walked this road before.
From that moment onward, I have been looking for ways to share my knowledge and experience with other people, because I sense very clearly that this is my purpose in life — my mission.
It all began in the basement of my home, where a secret book club started to gather and soon became surprisingly popular. There was no advertising whatsoever, yet the people who attended brought their friends, and those friends brought their own friends. Before long, we had to divide the group into two because so many people were interested in joining. We read the books of Théun Mares and discussed the concepts they contained.
I think it is important to mention that I was not born with extraordinary abilities, nor have I experienced any miraculous event such as being struck by lightning, a near-death experience, a ritual initiation, a divine touch, a life-changing psychedelic experience, or anything similar. At my core, I am an ordinary person living a normal life — an entrepreneur, a parent, and an active member of society.
The reason I consider this important to share is that, having become acquainted with countless spiritual masters and teachers, I have often noticed that their personal development was either exceptional from birth due to innate gifts, or that they experienced some magical event that completely transformed their lives or awakened new abilities within them. As a result, their manifested abilities were often not achieved through their own inner work.
Although I started out as an ordinary person, over time I have developed a number of abilities through my own actions that extend beyond what is commonly considered ordinary reality. The normal, everyday person is still very much present within me, but alongside that, entirely new qualities and dimensions have emerged that I did not possess before. Such is the effect of the Path of Knowledge. By applying Toltec concepts and tools, a natural transformation takes place, bringing forth previously unknown potentials.
If you are guided by someone whose knowledge originates from a singular event that transformed them, it is only natural to begin waiting for such an event to happen to you as well. Yet this means giving away your power and not believing that you yourself can achieve your own development. My approach places that power back into the hands of the individual. Only you can turn the potential hidden within you into reality, and therefore you never become dependent on anyone or anything outside yourself. Only your own actions can lead you to the freedom to act according to your own knowledge, regardless of external circumstances.
